Alex leads the Digital Transformation Consulting practice for Central Western Europe at Siemens Healthineers with a focus on IT & digital strategy, digital patient pathway analyses, and platform & care networks in hospitals. Previously, he served as head of healthcare innovation at Die Techniker, Germany's largest payor, where he was leading teams for the analysis of healthcare pathways, personalization of the TK app, telemedicine and remote patient monitoring, mental health and various research projects. He also worked as the personal advisor to the CEO of Die Techniker and as a policy consultant for a political think tank in Berlin. He studied economics and political science at Columbia University in New York and the London School of Economics and holds a PhD from the University of Bremen, Germany
