Shawn holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Stanford, with a specialization in chemical genetics. Supported by the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research, he collaborated with Nobel Laureate Dr. Sydney Brenner to establish the Molecular Engineering Laboratory, an interdisciplinary hub for emerging scientists. The lab’s alumni are now integral to Singapore’s biotech landscape. Shawn’s expertise spans bioinformatics, chemogenomics, and synthetic biology.
